Ulrike Klöppel
Ulrike Klöppel, Diploma in Psychology and PhD in Sociology, is a research assistant at the Institute for History and Ethics of Medicine at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg in the research project "'Women in Mad Lifeworlds' – Discourses and Practices in Dealing with 'Madness' in the West German Women's Health Movement from the 1970s to the 1990s". Further research interests: History of the German AIDS movement, medicalization of intersex people in history and present, gender transitions in the German Democratic Republic, gender history, queer history, psychiatric and pharmaceutical history.
