Pia Marzell is a research assistant at the Department of Gender History at Friedrich Schiller University in Jena. In her dissertation project, she is researching the conflicts of black, migrant, Jewish and disabled women in the New Women's Movement. She is focussing on discussions about racism, anti-Semitism and hostility towards disabled people and ableism. The project is funded by the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation. Her research interests include women's and queer movements in East and West Germany, the history of National Socialism and the history of sexualities.
