Kevin-Niklas Breu

Kevin-Niklas Breu is a doctoral student of history at the University of Bremen and alumnus of the German scholar foundation Studienstiftung des Deutschen Volks. His research interest spans from 20th century European, Anglo-, and Latin American history to the history of social movements in general and of LGBT(Q) movements in particular. In 2016/17, he studied at the University of California at Santa Barbara as a DAAD fellow. During his academic year abroad, he conducted research into the Californian AIDS movement in San Francisco in preparation of his MA thesis, which he submitted in February 2018. Some of the findings of his research have been published in Global HistoriesInvertito and Revue d'Allemagne and presented at international conferences in Paris, Manchester, Philadelphia, and Berlin.
