Cäcilia Wosnitzka
Cäcilia Wosnitzka has been a research assistant at the Institute for Contemporary History at the University of Vienna since April 2024. Her doctoral project deals with democratic practices in (West) German migration society (1966–1993), using the example of activist spaces for action and civil society networking among political emigrants from the People's Republic of Poland. As part of the research project, Cäcilia Wosnitzka received a doctoral grant from the Heinrich Böll Foundation (2023/2024) and was a fellow at the Leibniz Institute for the History and Culture of Eastern Europe (GWZO) in Leipzig (2022). Cäcilia Wosnitzka completed a German-Polish double master's degree in European Studies in Frankfurt (Oder) and Poznań (2018–2021). Her queer history master's thesis on the transnational homosexual rights activism of the Eastern Europe Information Pool during the Cold War was awarded the 'Scientific Promotion Prize of the Polish Ambassador under the patronage of the Polish Academy of Sciences 2022/2023'.
