QWIEN - Zentrum für schwul/lesbische Kultur und Geschichte

The QWIEN is a research center with the vision to give queerness to general history - and queer people their everyday history. QWIEN has been in existence since 2009, but its origins go back to the early 1990s and are closely linked to the association Ecce Homo. In addition to the establishment of an archive and a library, which mainly contain written and material evidence of queer life, the task of the center is to carry out scientific research projects, to communicate queer history, especially with city tours (QWIEN Guide), as well as with lecture and publication activities.
