Christopher Ewing ist Assistant Professor für LGBTQ+ und europäische Geshichte an Purdue University. In seinem ersten Buch, The Color of Desire: The Queer Politics of Race in the Federal Republic of Germany after 1970 (Cornell, 2023) befasst er sich mit Rassismus/Antirassismus und Begehren in queeren Bewegungen in der BRD seit 1970. Christopher Ewing hat 2018 an dem Graduate Center of the City University of New York promoviert und war 2018-2023 Assistant Professor an Virginia Commonwealth University. Er hat Artikeln in u.a. Rethinking History, Central European History, und Journal of the History of Sexuality veröffentlicht. In Zusammenarbeit mit Dr. Sébastien Tremblay gibt er den Sammelband Rethinking Queer Media in the German Speaking World (Palgrave, 2025) heraus. Gegenwärtig entwickelt er ein neues Forschungsprojekt zur globalen Geschichte der Hasskriminalität und der Politik der Gewalt.
